My little Steve is growing in popularity and gaining some notice and attention!
She made Cat of the Day yesterday (thank you

!), which is just an absolute joy for me. I really want people to be more aware of disabilities in animals, to prevent unnecessary euthanasia. When we first got Steve, we were constantly asked "Why don't you just put it down?"--because she is happy and functioning!
The question is becoming less frequent, something that brings a lot of happiness to me now that people are becoming more aware of pet disabilities, and Steve has become a source of inspiration for many. She inspires me too, but most of the time she's really a distraction. A really cute distraction that distracts me from the bad things in life xD and from art projects...
Anyways, I'd love to invite anyone who reads this journal to come check out Stories From Steve:
[link]Stories From Steve is a Facebook page that will allow others to follow Steve and her challenges in life as well as see new pictures/videos of her and hear some of her best stories (from barrel-rolling down a staircase, to being mauled by a Preying Mantis, Steve has some interesting tales to tell). So, please, come check have a look and spread the word!
